Plants cultivated by means of Biodynamic farming are
grown:
- Without using chemical fertilisers, pesticides or weed
killers.
- The soil is fertilised exclusively with composted manure
which has been treated with biodynamic preparations: organic
soil improvers, seaweed, powdered rock and sediments.
Vines cultivated by means of Biodynamic farming are
protected:
- With flower of sulphur, copper salts, herbal preparations,
or liquid plant manure and clay.
Vines cultivated by means of Biodynamic farming are
not given any chemical fertilisers:
- because these diminish the taste of the fruit,
- because these diminish the nutritional value of the
fruit,
- because these disrupt the balance of the trace elements,
- because these pollute the water tables (nitrates).
Vines cultivated by means of Biodynamic farming are
not given any weed killers:
- because these are often absorbed by the plant and, when
accumulated, can be dangerous for humans.
- because these destroy the flora, micro-fauna and thus
the life of the soil itself, by "sterilising"
it of its beneficial microbial life.
Vines cultivated by means of Biodynamic farming are
not given any chemical pesticides:
- because these destroy the fungi and insects which are
harmful to the vine, but also the predators which help
to maintain the vine's organic balance.
- because some pesticides which are carried by the sap
can leave residue in the fruit...!
Vines cultivated by means of Biodynamic farming are,
for you, a guarantee of:
- a wine tasting pleasure with which you can rediscover
authentic tastes,
- a protection for your health thanks to the respect for
strict production rules and the very limited use of sulphites,
- the application of the procedures and rules defined
by DEMETER.
